On 19 April 2023, Rajasthan Royals (RR) locked horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Jaipur in the ongoing IPL. However, RR failed to win in front of the home crowd as LSG defeated them by 10 runs. KL Rahul impressed everyone with his captaincy as they defended a 155-run target. Marcus Stoinis won the Player of the Match award for his all-round performance.

However, after the match, an image has now gone viral where LSG skipper, KL Rahul was seen having a chat with the star RR batter Jos Buttler. Buttler was seen posing with a batting stance and it seemed that those two were talking about the game. Seeing that, fans went crazy and shared their views on social media.

Speaking of the match, LSG batted first and scored 154 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs. KL Rahul scored 39 runs off 32 balls and Kyle Mayers scored 51 runs off 42 balls. In the end, Pooran and Stoinis scored 29 and 21 runs respectively, In reply, RR scored only 144 runs for six wickets in 20 overalls. Stoinis also picked up two wickets and hence, he won the Player of the Match award. After this win, Rahul looked delighted and shared his views during the post-match presentation. 

KL Rahul said: “At the 10-over mark, the message we sent out was that maybe 165 is a good total, so, let us try to get to 160. Did not have to set ourselves very high. They are a quality team, they have good bowlers. We fell 10 runs short maybe but we made it up with the ball in the end. There was no dew and that was fair on both teams. (Turning point) That Samson run out and two wickets falling back-to-back lets you to come back into the game. RR's top three-four are really strong and our plan was to get them out early, and it came via a run-out today.”
