Babar Azam is one of the top batters in world cricket at the moment. The 27-year-old has taken giant strides in international cricket ever since his debut in 2015. The star batter quickly rose through the ranks and became the captain of his side. Babar has many fans across the globe who admire him for his elegant stroke play. The right-hander has one of the best cover drives in world cricket at the moment.
The popularity of his shot has grown so much that he now finds himself in a class ninth Physics book in Pakistan. Although the question is related to kinetic energy, Babar seems to have impressed a lot of Pakistani syllabus makers with his trademark shot.

Babar’s cover drive is often compared with Virat Kohli’s who also has a sumptuous cover drive in his repertoire. The two batters are also being compared a lot lately for their statistics. Pakistan fans claim Babar to be the best batter across formats while Indian fans are always seen rooting for Kohli.
The duo share a great bond as they’re often seen praising each other’s game. Recently Babar posted a Tweet for Kohli who had been going through the worst phase of his career struggling to score runs across formats. Kohli made a roaring comeback in the Asia Cup finishing as the second-highest run scorer of the tournament. He also brought up his elusive 71st international century in the last game against Afghanistan.
However, Babar’s form has seen a decline in recent times as he had a disappointing run in the Asia Cup 2022. He could only manage to score 68 runs from six innings at an average of 11. It seems as if both the batters have exchanged form with Kohli getting back amongst the runs and Babar struggling to score.
Babar will be seen back in action as Pakistan is scheduled to play England in a seven-match T20I series starting from the 20th of September. Pakistan will further play a tri-nation series involving Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand right before the 20-20 World Cup.
