Former legendary Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya has recently come up with his choice of favorite cricketer between former Indian skipper Virat Kohli and current world number one batter Babar Azam of Pakistan. Looking at a comparison of both the batting greats in modern-day cricket, then Kohli is known as the king of cricket among the fans whereas Babar has earned a lot of respect for his batting excellence in the cricketing world.

Sanath Jayasuriya has talked about both batters in a recent exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Cricket. While answering a question about his favorite cricketer among the two South Asian giants, he said:

“I like Virat Kohli. He is my favorite player and also my son's favorite player too.”

In the same conversation, Jayasuriya went on to pick ODI cricket in comparison to Test cricket as his preferred format in cricket.

Jayasuriya also answered a question on his choice between performing with the ball or the bat. He said that he would love to thrash the opponent with his swashbuckling batting skills in comparison to bowling. The former legendary southpaw also picked captaincy as a better option than coaching in cricket.

Sanath Jayasuriya to be in action during the upcoming Road Safety World Series 2022:

The former opener will be in action once again on the field after his retirement in the upcoming Road Safety World Series 2022. He will appear in the tournament for Sri Lanka legends under the leadership of another former blistering opener of Sri Lanka, TM Dilshan.
