Gujarat Titan’s Yash Dayal got involved in an unwanted controversy as an Instagram story related to the recent Delhi stabbing case went viral on social media. The post was quite hurting for Muslim sentiments and seeing that, fans shared their views. Even, it was quite shocking for fans as he has so many Muslim teammates in GT.

He plays with players like Mohammed Shami, Noor Ahmad, and Rashid Khan. The case is mainly where a 16-year-old girl, named Sakshi got allegedly killed as a 20-year-old man named Sahil stabbed her multiple times in New Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy area, on 28 March 2023. However, he also came up with an apology. But, now, he came up with a clarification and that has gone viral instantly on social media.

Here is the shared clarification:

“I am trying to regain full control of my Instagram account.” – Yash Dayal

Speaking of the apology, he wrote: “Guy’s apologise for the story it was just posted by mistake plz don’t spread hate Thank you I have respect for each & every community n society.” Later, in a statement in media, he said: “There were two stories posted on my Insta handle today – both of which weren’t done by me. I have reported the matter to authorities as I believe my account is being accessed by someone else and used for posting. I am trying to regain full control of my Instagram account. I respect all communities and the picture shared today does not reveal my true beliefs.”

The GT pacer claimed that his account was hacked and it was not him who posted those stories on Instagram. Hence, both stories are currently deleted and he is looking to gain full control of his social media account. Speaking of his performance in IPL 2023, Dayal picked up only two wickets in five matches. In the 2022 edition, he picked up 11 wickets in nine matches.
