Team India are currently busy avoiding a loss in the ongoing Test match against Australia in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue steadied the ship on day two as they finished the day after scoring 289 runs for three wickets. So, fans were expecting another good batting display from batters, especially from the upcoming batters like Shreyas Iyer and Srikar Bharat.

Fans were in shock when Ravindra Jadeja came out to bat with Virat Kohli after the wicket of Shubman Gill. Generally, Shreyas Iyer comes out to bat at number five. But, it seemed that the team management might be looking for a right-left combination in the middle. But, it became more shocker when Iyer again did not come out after the dismissal of Jadeja.

The wicketkeeper batter Srikar Bharat came out to bat. But, a recent update has come out now that Shreyas Iyer has complained of lower back pain following the end of day three’s play. Hence, he has been taken to the hospital for scans. The medical team are also monitoring him closely but still, there is no official confirmation if he is fit enough to bat for team India in the first innings in this match. Speaking of Shreyas Iyer, he has failed to score freely so far in this ongoing series. In four innings, Iyer has scored just 42 runs. However, the skipper Rohit Sharma was happy with his counter-attacking 26 run-knock in the second innings of the Indore Test. Other batters failed to handle the Aussie spinners while he showed a counter-attacking approach. Regarding that Rohit Sharma said: "When you're playing on pitches like this, you need a Shreyas Iyer kind of an inning. Someone has to step up, someone has to take down the bowlers. It cannot always be that the batters will get 100 runs, 90 runs, 80 runs, you have to play cameos like that."
