The Asia Cup 2023 is still uncertain as no confirmation has come up about the tournament. As per the latest developments, PCB gave a hybrid model to Indian Cricket Board where India will play their matches in a neutral venue and other matches will be played in Pakistan as per schedule.

But, now reports have come out that not only India, but other teams like Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have also rejected the hybrid model. Thus, the Men in Green are most likely to pull out from the Asia Cup 2023. Seeing such reports, fans went crazy and they slammed Pakistan on social media.

India are adamant about not visiting Pakistan for Asia Cup 2023

As quoted by PTI, a source close to the development said: "It is just a formality now that the Asian Cricket Council executive board members meet virtually or a proper meeting is called later this month. But the PCB is now aware that Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan are not backing their hybrid model proposal for the Asia Cup."

"Pakistan only has two options. Play the tourney at neutral venue or withdraw. In case Pakistan doesn't play, it will still be called Asia Cup but broadcaster will renegotiate the deal in absence of Pakistan. There is every possibility the Asia Cup might not be held this year because without Pakistan and India matches the broadcasters are not likely to offer the same amount they were offering to the ACC with Pakistan included," a source of the ACC said.

The former Pakistan cricketer, Rashid Latif said: "India and 3 countries, except Pakistan, rejected Hybrid model for Asia cup, All agreed on one venue due to logistics and financial issues. Might be a Zoom meeting soon or a general meeting in Dubai in a few days to finalise the matter (Sic). I have information from independent sources that four countries have rejected the model and it is now a formality that the Asia Cup will be moved out of Pakistan. I feel Pakistan should and will."
