On 29 April 2023, Delhi Capitals (DC) locked horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the ongoing IPL. The match took place at Arun Jaitley Stadium and DC were looking for a double over SRH. In the reverse fixture, they defeated SRH in Hyderabad. But, SRH managed to win this time around by nine runs.

However, DC’s Micthell Marsh won the Player of the Match award for his excellent all-round performance despite it all going in vain. But, a video from that clash has now gone viral where fans were seen fighting each other at the stands. Seeing that, fans were not happy and shared their views on social media.

Speaking of the match, SRH batted first and scored 197 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma scored 67 runs off 36 balls while Heinrich Klaasen scored 53 runs off 27 balls. For DC, Mitchell Marsh grabbed four wickets for 27 runs in his four overs. In reply, DC scored 188 runs for six wickets in 20 overs. Marsh scored 63 runs off 39 balls and along with him, Phil Salt also smacked 59 runs off 35 balls. After the match, the winning captain, Aiden Markram shared his views during the post-match presentation.

Markram said: "It was a great team effort. It's good to see the guys put in great efforts in the buildup to this game and good to see a nice fresh approach from the batters and some good character and good skills at the end by the bowlers too. I don't mind getting things wrong on a cricket field as long as they approach things in the right way to try to be the best versions of ourselves. You have to take your hats off to the players to get them to buy in so quickly. The bowlers showed a lot of character. We've got to take it one game at a time for us but also appreciate we need to get wins under our belt. Hopefully we can play another good game of cricket in our next game."
