Babar Azam is currently preparing for the upcoming edition of the Pakistan Super League for Peshawar Zalmi. He is going to lead the side this time around as the tournament is going to kick off on 13 February 2023. However, fans have criticized the Pakistan skipper in recent times due to his form in the shortest format of the game.

However, he is the highest run-scorer so far in the history of PSL. Currently, Babar Azam has scored 2413 runs in 66 innings, at an average of 42.33. But, his strike rate has been an issue as it is 121.13. Now, ahead of the tournament opener, a video has gone viral where Babar was seen hitting six sixes in the net session of Peshawar Zalmi.

It was quite surprising for fans to see the Pakistan skipper showing such power-hitting skills in the net. However, fans have now reacted to the video and they came up with some funny tweets to troll Babar Azam. Speaking about Babar’s career in T20Is for Pakistan, he has played 99 matches and scored 3355 runs in 94 innings. His average has been 41.41 while his strike rate has been 127.80. So, fans have always criticized him brutally for his form in the shortest format of the game. Even, in the recent big tournaments for the Men in Green, he failed miserably with the bat.

He scored only 68 runs in six matches across the Asia Cup 2022. Then, in the 20-20 World Cup 2022, Babar Azam scored only 124 runs in seven innings, at an average of 17.71 and a strike rate of 93.23. However, he led the team to the final of that tournament but Egland defeated them to win the trophy. So, it has been a quiet time where fans are not happy with his form in the T20Is. However, fans will hope for a better performance from the Pakistan skipper in the PSL8.
