India had a terrible end to the five-match T20I series against West Indies as they suffered an 8-wicket loss in the last game and ultimately, lost the series 3-2. After the loss, the former Team India all-rounder, Irfan Pathan came up with a congratulatory tweet for the Windies while sharing some concerns for the Men in Blue.

He wrote: “Congratulations to the West Indies team on a well-deserved series win! Team India must reflect on this defeat, as losing to a lower-ranked team is indeed worrisome. #INDvWI”. But, in the comment section, many Pakistan fans were seen making some funny comments and in response to that, Pathan came up with a tweet to take an indirect dig at them. Seeing that fans shared their reactions.

Here is the shared tweet:

Speaking of the tweet, he wrote: “Begaani Shadi mein Abdulla deewana… #sunday #padosi”. In response to that, a well-known Pakistani journalist, Farid Khan was seen with a tweet that read: “Irfan Pathan with another padosi tweet on Sunday. With all due respect, it was uncalled for. West Indies deserved to win, there's no harm in wishing them especially after the last two months they had. Disappointed by that tweet! #WIvIND”.

However, this ‘Padosi’ tweet first came into the picture when the Men in Blue defeated the Men in Green in the 2022 20-20 World Cup in Australia. After that, fans have always found targeting the former all-rounder over the same tweet whenever India have managed to perform badly against their arch-rivals. However, both these teams are set to take on each other on 2 September in the upcoming Asia Cup. Then, if they manage to qualify for the next round and the final, they can face each other three times. In the upcoming ODI World Cup, they will play each other on 14 October 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad.
