The two South Asian giants and arch-rivals India and Pakistan are locking horns in the high-voltage encounter in the super-12 round of the 20-20 World Cup 2022. Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bowl first against the men in green during their tournament opener. Young Indian pace sensation Arshdeep Singh managed to prove his captain’s decision right with a brilliant display of bowling in the powerplay overs.

Arshdeep scalped the big wickets of Pakistani skipper Babar Azam and star batter Mohammad Rizwan only on Pakistan’s total score of 15 runs. In the first two overs, Arshdeep conceded only 10 runs to claim these important wickets for India.

Apart from his stellar show in the opening spell, Arshdeep’s mustache style has also gone viral over social media. Following his fiery spell in the powerplay overs, Arshdeep could be seen styling his mustache, and it took no time in going viral within minutes of being shared by a Twitter user.

Furthermore, talking about the match, after recovering from some early blows, Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood’s half-century knocks helped Pakistan to post a total of 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Masood played a knock of 52 runs off 42 balls whereas Iftikhar smashed 51 runs off 34 balls with two boundaries and four sixes in his account.

Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya scalped three wickets each alongside one wicket each by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mohammed Shami.

While chasing the target, the Indians are currently in a miserable condition as they have lost four wickets only on the score of 45 runs in 10 overs. Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya are there on the line in the middle for India’s run chase.

Haris Rauf scalped two wickets whereas young pacer Naseem Shah also claimed one wicket of senior Indian opener KL Rahul.
