An ardent Virat Kohli lover from Pakistan makes a special request, photo goes viral

The way Pakistani fans adore the former Indian skipper and veteran batter Virat Kohli is really an exemplary thing to learn how the heartfelt emotions fade the boundaries drawn on the lands.

A similar incident happened recently when a Pakistani who seemed to be a great fan of Virat Kohli came up with a special request from the 33-year-old. No doubt, he has a huge fan following in both countries.

This moment took place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore during the sixth of the seven-match T20I series between Pakistan and England. A fan came up with a banner that immediately went viral on social media. The fan was making a special request to the Indian legend to play a game in Pakistan before he retires from international cricket.

Notably, Kohli hasn’t played any game on Pakistani soil even after spending 14 years in international cricket and playing across most of the cricketing countries in the World. The tough political terms between India and Pakistan in the aftermath of the 26/11 Mumbai blasts 14 years back in 2008 had also bittered the cricketing relations between both countries.

Since then, both teams haven’t played any bilateral series and could play only in major international tournaments like World Cup and Asia Cup. Although, Pakistan’s tour of India in 2013 for three ODIs and two T20Is can be counted as an exceptional case.

Speaking about the Indian teams’ last visit to Pakistan, then they’d been there 14 years back in 2008 for the Asia Cup in which they lost to the Sri Lankans in the final of the tournament.

Coming back to Kohli, then the veteran of more than 100 Tests has never played even a single match of the longest format in Pakistan. Both teams faced each other in a Test series 15 years back in 2007 when Pakistan visited India.
