Famous cricket author, Bharat Sundaresan shared those images with a caption on Twitter. He wrote: Interesting treatment of the pitch in Nagpur. The groundstaff watered the entire centre of the surface & only the length areas outside the left-hander’s leg stump & then rolled only the centre, stopping short every time they got to the good length areas at both ends #IndvAus”. In reply to that, Harbhajan Singh came up with a tweet that fans did not like so much.

Harbhajan Singh wants KL Rahul to sit out of the team for the first Test
Harbhajan Singh wrote that it is quite sad for him to see the pitches making more noise than the cricket itself nowadays. He wrote: “India vs Australia is the biggest test series I think. But sadly pitches make more noise thn test Cricket. #Savetestcricket”. Seeing that tweet from the former India spinner, some fans called out to him. They even claimed that he is saying this because of his jealousy of Ravichandran Ashwin. There were very few fans who supported him. Meanwhile, he also shared his predicted playing XI of team India for the series opener in a different tweet. That also surprised fans.
He kept out the team India vice-captain KL Rahul from his final playing XI while he included Shubman Gill as an opener and gave a debut to Suryakumar Yadav in the middle order. Even, on his official YouTube channel, Harbhajan Singh shared his vote for Shubman Gill as an opener over Rahul. In that video, he said that If team India wants to win this Test series, then Shubman Gill should open with Rohit Sharma. But, seeing such a criticizing tweet from him on the Nagpur pitch, fans went crazy and slammed him on social media platforms.
