India and West Indies crossed the swords in the fourth of the five-match T20I series. Both teams played this match at Florida’s Lauderhill. The hosts’ skipper invited the Indian team to bat first. Indian team posted a decent total of 191 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Chasing the target, the men in maroon could score only 132 runs for the loss of all wickets in 19.1 overs. Eventually, the Indian team won the match by 59 runs. After the conclusion of the penultimate match of the five-match T20I series, the series is now standing at a score line of 3-1 in the favour of India.

The opening pair of skipper Rohit Sharma and star batter Suryakumar Yadav provided a blistering start to the Indian team. They both made a quick opening partnership of 56 runs for the first wicket in just 4.4 overs. Before getting bowled to Akeal Hosein, Rohit scored 33 runs off just 16 balls with two boundaries and three sixes.

Other than him, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant also scored a match-defining knock of 44 runs off 31 balls. The short cameos of double digits from Sanju Samson, Suryakumar Yadav, and Deepak Hooda helped the Indian team to reach a total of 191 runs for the loss of five wickets in 20 overs. Obed McCoy and Alzzari Joseph scalped two wickets each for the Caribbean team.

While chasing the target, the hosts’ looked in a trouble at the beginning of the second innings. In one instance, Nicholas Pooran & co. lost their four wickets only on the score of 64 runs. Pacers Arshdeep Singh and Avesh Khan scalped 3 and 2 wickets respectively to bundle the hosts only on the score of 132 runs in 19.1 overs. Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi also scalped one wicket each. The 25-year-old Arshdeep went on to become the most economical player for the men in blue to seal the series.

Deepak Hooda of India also impressed everyone with his fielding in the match, he individually took catches in the match.
