The South Africa-born cricketer made his first appearance for England eight years back in the year 2014. Since then, he has played 64 T20I for the three lions. Even after having a good experience to his name, Jason Roy was not considered by the selectors when they were selecting the squad for the eighth edition of the 20-20 World Cup.

He has scored 206 runs in the last 11 matches he played with a very low strike rate of 104.04. Although, English management might count on him during the World Cup if required. He can add a bit of good experience as he has played some match-defining knocks for the English team in crucial matches.

The 23-year-old young batting sensation has proved his worth for the Australian team in all formats of the game. Speaking of his outings in the T20Is, then Green made his first appearance in the shortest format of the game earlier this year against Pakistan in Lahore. The young lad has shown his batting excellence against India in the first of the ongoing three-match T20I series against India.

Green smashed 61 runs off just 30 balls and also scalped one wicket with the ball to help his team win by four wickets in the curtain raiser of the series against India. Senior Indian all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin has also heaped his praises on the Aussie youngster in a recent video. Australian selectors might give a bit of think to the fact that Cameron Green could be a great factor for the men in yellow in some crucial matches in the 20-20 World Cup 2022.

The entire cricketing world was in shock when the Caribbean side announced their squad for the marquee tournament. The two-time champions went on to omit the veterans like Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Kieron Pollard from the World Cup squad. Talking specifically about Suni Narine, then he has emerged as a match-winner in the T20I format for the teams he played with.

Narine is not a part of the West Indies squad since 2019, but his vitality can’t be ignored in the major international tournaments. The 34-year-old can add a very good part of the experience to the team with his all-round skills in the 20-20 World Cup. The Caribbean selectors might think once again to call him back if situations allow them to do so.

Mohammed Shami – India

The media reports and closed sources to the Indian cricket board have learned that the selectors had a discussion on the name of Mohammed Shami with skipper Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid. But in the same sequence, they opted to prefer the senior all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin over the 32-year-old speedster.

Recently, the Meerut-based senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is struggling with his form in bowling during the death overs. So, Mohammed Shami can be an X factor for team India when it comes to controlling the crucial situations in the marquee tournament.
