Cody Rhoades and Brock Lesnar are all set for a fight at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam. However, after a brutal hit by the Beast, Rhoades appeared in this week’s Monday Night Raw and addressed him. The American Nightmare claimed that although he was impressed, his mother was not.

Rhoades claimed that his mother knew that it was a mistake by the Beast and hence, he vowed to put an end to the feud in the upcoming SummerSlam clash. But, regarding such promos, former WWE star, Vince Russo shared his views and slammed the American Nightmare for being self-centered.

While speaking on Legion of RAW, Russo said: "I can't take these Cody promos becuase all I'm seeing is a guy that's just so full of himself. That's all that I can see. They don't further stories, they're not going anywhere. I think he referenced a cigar today, and it was probably a cigar nobody could afford. Nobody in the crowd had one of these becuase it's probably 500 bucks a cigar. I'm sorry but these things go nowhere for me bro."
Speaking of Russo’s WWE career, he won the WCW World Heavyweight Championship once. He also has a unique record to his name as Russo defeated the 16-time world champion, Ric Flair thrice in his career. Speaking of this rivalry between Cody Rhoades and Brock Lesnar, it all started when Lesnar attacked him during Monday Night Raw following Wrestlemania 39.
Then, both of them fought with each other at WWE Backlash. Rhoades came out victorious but on the next WWE Raw episode, the Beast attacked the American Nightmare which led him to lose an opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship title. After that, both of them again went head to head at WWE Night of Champions. But, that time, Lesnar won via technical submission.
