Shinsuke Nakamura was in action at WWE Payback 2023 against Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. But, he got defeated and it was another opportunity that got out of his hand to become the World Champion. Now, a WWE legend, Teddy Long came up with a brutal dig at the Japanese wrestler.

While speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine podcast hosted by Mac Davis, Long claimed that Nakamura is a great wrestler. But, he has not found the wrestler championship material any time. He also said maybe that is why WWE might not put a world title on him.

“When you put a title on somebody, there has to be a lot of charisma” - Teddy Long on Shinsuke Nakamura

Long said: "Don't get me wrong. Shinsuke is a great wrestler. But I just don't see him being championship material. Maybe this is just my feeling about it. When you put a title on somebody, there has to be a lot of charisma; there needs to be a lot of excitement. And he has some of that. But like I said, I could be wrong, but I don't see them putting the title on him."

Meanwhile, Seth Rollins challenged him for a rematch on last night’s Raw but Nakamura denied it and said that he would decide further about the rematch. Later in an exclusive chat with WWE, he said: “Don’t tell me what to do. I decide when, I decide how, I destroy his future. Break him down more and then take the title.”

Speaking about Nakamura’s achievements so far in the WWE industry, he has won the 2018 Men's Royal Rumble match. Nakamura has won the WWE United States Championship twice along with the WWE Intercontinental Championship. However, after the loss against Rollins, Nakamura failed to keep his calm and attacked him brutally. WWE even shared exclusive footage on social media and fans were left surprised by the brutal attack from the Japanese wrestler.
