In the final game against England in Nottingham, Suryakumar Yadav achieved his maiden T20 century, taking only 48 balls. Despite his outstanding performance, the host side fell short by 17 runs, but India secured a 2-1 victory in the T20I series. Suryakumar reached the hundred-run milestone with a boundary off David Willey. He had previously reached his half-century in 32 balls and remarkably accelerated from 50 to 100 in just 16 balls.

Rohit Sharma enjoyed a fabulous run towards the end of 2017. After slamming the third double hundred of his career in ODI cricket, the legendary India opener hammered his second T20I hundred on Friday against Sri Lanka. His century, which came off just 35 balls is also the joint fastest T20I hundred. The star India batter blitzkrieg innings off 118 was laced with 10 sixes and 12 fours. He was eventually dismissed for 118 (43 balls) by Akila Dananjaya off Dushmantha Chameera on the fourth ball of the 13th over. Rohit’s hundred was also the fastest T20I century by an Indian.

During India's Super 4 stage match against Afghanistan at the 2022 Asia Cup in Dubai on Thursday, Virat Kohli achieved his maiden T20I century, marking his overall 71st international century. His unbeaten 61-ball 122 set a record as then the highest score by an Indian batter in T20Is at that time. This century held special significance as Kohli's last international hundred had been scored against Bangladesh in the pink-ball Test on November 23, 2019, in Kolkata.

Ruturaj Gaikwad entered the exclusive group of Indian openers who have scored a century in T20 International cricket. Gaikwad's remarkable ton contributed to India's total of 222 for 3 in the first innings against Australia at the Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati.

 With his inaugural three-figure score in T20 internationals, the Chennai Super Kings opener became the fifth opener to achieve this feat, joining the ranks of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shubman Gill. Gaikwad remained unbeaten, accumulating 123 runs off 57 deliveries, which included 13 boundaries and seven sixes.

Shubman Gill created a host of records with his outstanding innings of 126 runs from 63 balls in the third T20I against New Zealand on Wednesday, February 1, including breaking a record previously held by Virat Kohli.

Taking the opening position for Team India at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Gill played an unbeaten innings of 63 balls, setting a new record for the highest individual score by an Indian in T20I cricket history. Overall, Shubman struck 12 fours and seven sixes during his impressive performance.
