Six Indian's feature in Men's ODI team of the year 2023

Apex Council has released various teams for the year 2023 such as the Women's ODI team, Men's Test, and ODI teams. Talking about the Men's ODI team, six Indian players have been named in the team. Notably, the Men In Blue reached the final of the ODI World Cup 2023, winning 10 games on the trot. However, in the summit clash, they lost to Australia.

Talking about the Indian players, India skipper Rohit Sharma, former skipper Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, and bowlers such as Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami, and Kuldeep Yadav. In the team of the year, Sharma has been named the captain and was the second-highest run-getter. On the other hand, Kohli was the highest run-getter of the tournament. Apart from this, Gill didn't have the best of tournaments with the bat but still made it to the team. In the bowling department, the likes of Siraj, Shami, and Yadav were one of the top wicket-takers in the tournament.

Two Australians and Two South Africans who have made it

Two players from the title-winning team and as many from the semifinalists have made it to the Apex Council's team. From the Yellow Brigade, Travis Head, the man of the final and some other games, and Adam Zampa, who broke the record of the late Shane Warne, as an Australia spinner, have made it to the team.
