Afghanistan will like to upset the favourites of the World Cup. As they did not have a great start to their 2023 World Cup campaign. They lost their first match against Bangladesh at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamshala. The Afghans have a 13-match defeat streak in the mega event as they last won against Scotland in 2015.

The ground is shorter and will favor the batters. Here black soil is used for the preparation of the pitch. This could mean more bounce, which could aid the batters as the ball would come onto the bat better and batters can have a good time. Spinners can come into the game later on in the innings.
