WATCH: Irfan Pathan, Rashid Khan dance together post Afghanistan's upset against Pakistan

After Afghanistan's surprise win against Pakistan, Afghanistan's leg-spinner Rashid Khan and former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan danced together.

For the first time in the history of ODI cricket, Afghanistan have beaten Pakistan. Ahead of the 22nd game of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023, the Green Brigade won the toss and batted first. They had a decent start with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq putting together 56 runs. After the fall of the former, skipper Babar Azam and Shafique added another 54 runs.

Both players scored a fifty but failed to get a big score. At one stage, the team was reduced to 206/5. At this point, the likes of Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan scored 40 runs each. These innings helped the team reach a competitive total of 282/7. For the Blue Brigade, Noor Ahmed took three wickets while Naveen-ul-Haq took two.

In reply, the Afghans had a great start as Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran put together 130 runs in just 21.1 overs. Both batters scored a fifty each and laid a platform for creating a history. In the end, the likes of skipper Hasmatullah Shahidi and Rahmat Shah helped the team chase down the target in 49 overs. With this, the Blue Brigade has upset Pakistan.

After the game, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan and Afghanistan leg-spinner Rashid Khan danced with each.
