Finally, Australia have returned to their true form in the 2023 ODI World Cup, winning two matches in a row. They were at the bottom of the points table a few days ago but moved up to fourth place with their win over Pakistan in Bengaluru on October 20. On the other hand, Pakistan suffered their second straight defeat in the tournament after losing to India earlier in Ahmedabad.
It was an electrifying atmosphere at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday with two of the Australian openers firing on all cylinders. The game was done and dusted after the first innings itself when Australia posted a massive first-innings total of 367 in 50 overs. However, Pakistan put up a fight and were in the hunt till the 41st over when their most reliable batter Mohammad Rizwan was at the crease.
Two centuries, two half-centuries and a fifer, the fans had almost everything to enjoy a beautiful episode of cricket's biggest spectacle. The stadium was packed with Indian fans, Australian fans and a handful of Pakistani fans. Meanwhile, as the exciting match progressed, an Australian fan was seen chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and was joined by other Indian fans in the stands.
Although we have seen many chants by fans since the beginning of the tournament till date, this one was completely different and interesting. It shows how much foreigners love India and its people. The video quickly caught the attention of fans on social media.

David Warner-Mitchell Marsh's opening stand paves the way for Australia's crucial win
Australia registered a crucial 62-run victory on Friday as Pakistan failed to fight till the end. After being asked to bat first, the Aussie openers David Warner and Mitchell Marsh set the tone with a blistering start. The two stitched a 259-run partnership before star of the night with the ball, Shaheen Afridi, removing Marsh in the 34th over. Both Warner and Marsh left the crease after registering centuries that put Australia in command right from the start.
Pakistan made a comeback by making it difficult for the rest of the batters to find runs. But Warner's 163 and Marsh's 121 took their team total to a massive 367 in 50 overs. In reply, Pakistan openers Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq provided a similar blazing start but failed to capitalise on it.
Skipper Babar Azam failed once again but Mohammad Rizwan and Iftikhar Ahmed gave hope, taking the contest to 103 required in 12 overs. The two right-handers departed in quick succession and thereafter Pakistan lost the match.
