2. Most runs by a World Cup debutant

New Zealand's Rachin Ravindra made his ODI World Cup debut in the recently concluded tournament. During the tournament, he scored 578 runs in 10 games as he batted at number three and opening slots. With this, the left-hander scored the most runs as a debutant.

Four years back, New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson amassed the most runs in that World Cup and the team lost the final. This time around, Rohit Sharma scored 597 runs and once again, his team also lost the final even though he broke Williamson's record
