The final league match of the 2023 ODI World Cup saw India taking on the Netherlands at the Chinnaswammy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday, November 12. The game was of little importance as the result had no impact after the four semi-finalists were confirmed. However, Team India finished the group stage with an unbeaten streak of 9 games.
Chasing a huge target of 411 runs, the Dutch were bowled out for 250 runs in 47.5 overs as India won by a margin of 160 runs. Notably, the home team were the first team to qualify for the semi-finals. They topped the points table and will face New Zealand in the knockout. The Netherlands, on the other hand, ended the campaign at the bottom of the points table and failed to qualify for the 2025 Champions Trophy.
South Africa is in the second position with 7 wins. Australia occupies the third spot and New Zealand have secured the last place. India's Virat Kohli has overtaken Quinton de Kock to top the list of leading run-scorers with 594 runs from nine matches. Meanwhile, Australia's Adam Zampa, who has taken 22 wickets in nine matches, is currently the leading wicket-taker.
