Australia opener David Warner was the second-highest run-scorer of the 2019 World Cup. The veteran batter amassed 647 runs in 10 innings at an impressive average of 71.88 and a solid strike rate of 89.36. Warner's brilliant outing in England included 3 centuries and as many as half-centuries. His contribution was remarkable in Australia reaching the semi-finals of the tournament. 

4. Rohit Sharma - 648 runs (2019 WC)

Rohit Sharma - another batting beast in the 2019 World Cup. The veteran opener played a key role in taking India to the semi-final of the tournament. He was the top-scorer of the 2019 edition with some breathtaking knocks in the history of the World Cup. Rohit scored a total of 648 runs in 9 innings at an average of 81.00 and a notable strike rate of 98.33. The right-hander smashed five centuries - the record for most hundreds in a single WC edition. 

3. Matthew Hayden - 659 runs (2007 WC)

At an average of 73.22 and an outstanding strike rate of 101.07, Hayden amassed an impressive total of 659 runs. He had hit 3 centuries and 1 half-century. His remarkable outing included 1 century and 6 half-centuries.

With one game left in the 2023 ODI World Cup, Virat Kohli has surpassed Tendulkar's record for most runs in a single edition with a record-breaking century. Across 10 innings, the veteran batter scored 711* at an outstanding average of 101.57 and a strike rate of 90.69. He scored 3 centuries and 6 half-centuries.
