A group of ten players, including Babar Azam, Haris Rauf, Shadab Khan, Abdullah Shafique, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Hasan Ali, formed pairs for fielding practice. Under the guidance of fielding coach Aftab Khan, the session involved aiming at a small stump as a target. The intensity increased progressively, showcasing the players' camaraderie as they celebrated accurate throws and offered encouragement when the target was missed.

The training session's highlight was an extensive bowling practice, especially with the spinners. Led by bowling coach Morne Morkel, the session featured Shadab Khan, Mohammed Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Agha Salman, focusing on perfecting a specific length. Morkel closely observed the spinners' performance from behind the stumps. Two small mats were placed at 4-meter and 6-meter distances, with a red marker in between, aiming to enhance their skills to challenge the in-form Indian batters effectively.

In the history of the tournament, the Pakistan team have never won against the Indian team. However, with the kind of form that the Men in Green are in the tournament, especially after their historic run chase against the Sri Lankan team.
