The knock of Virat helped India to recover from the early blow of losing Rohit in the second ball of the match. In the end, India won the match by a huge margin of 302 runs against Sri Lanka. 

Before the start of the match, Virat was seen padded up for batting. As Virat left the stadium following the national anthem of both sides, a ball boy who also happened to be a fan of Virat, met Virat and touched his feet. Virat stopped the fan from doing so and shook his hands. The video of the incident is now going viral on social media.
