The commissioner of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) took legal action against former India pacer Sreesanth. The action came following the cricketer's claim that Gautam Gambhir labelled him a 'fixer' during the eliminator between the India Capitals and Gujarat Giants on December 6.

The notice cites Sreesanth's breach of contract and specifies that discussions will only commence after he removes videos targeting one of the players within the league's purview. Meanwhile, the umpires also submitted their report on the controversy. However, there is no mention made of Sreesanth's allegations of being called a 'fixer.'
Earlier, Sreesanth released videos in which he criticised Gambhir for his hurtful remarks during the match. He also accused the former cricketer of being rude and provoking him. "I just wanted to clear some air on what happened with Mr Fighter, who always fights with all his colleagues for no reason whatsoever," Sreesanth said.
"He doesn't even respect his senior players, including Viru Bhai and a lot of other people. That's exactly what happened today. Without any provocation, he just kept on calling meโsomething that is very rude and something that should not have been said by Mr Gautam Gambhir," added Sreesanth.
Sreesanth's wife comes to support his husband
Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir responded to the issue cryptically. On social media, he posted, "Smile when the world is all about attention!" However, Sreesanth's wife supported her husband with a post on Instagram. Expressing her shock at Gambhir's behaviour, she emphasised the importance of upbringing in on-field conduct.
"It is so shocking to hear from Sree that a player who has played for India with him for many years can stoop to this level. Even after so many years of retirement from active cricket, upbringing matters a lot, and it shows up when this kind of behaviour comes up on the ground. Shocking, truly shocking," she wrote.
The LLC commissioner's notice adds a legal dimension to the on-field controversy, raising questions about player conduct and the impact of such incidents on the integrity of the game. It's worth noting that Gautam Gambhir has yet to make a statement on the issue.
