Finally, the Indian Railways have kept their purple patch continued in Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championships. Pawan Sehrawat & co. have won the top-level kabaddi tournament of India for the fourth time in straight succession. The champions of last year comfortably defended the title against the finding of this edition of the championship Maharashtra. Three-times champions earlier than this clinched the victory with a score line of 38-21

At the beginning of the tournament, the Maharashtrian team was being considered an underdog team. But the whole team who doesn’t even have single-match experience at the senior level has impressed and amazed everyone with their stellar outings in the 69th edition of this national tournament.

Considering the less-experienced players, the Maharashtra team was not counted as the favorites to win the championship. They have stunned some of the strong teams including the likes of Tamil Nadu, Chandigarh, and hosts Haryana.

The team led by one of the promising and rising stars in Indian kabaddi Aslam Inamdar had an opportunity to stun everyone with their maiden title in the championship. But eventually, it was the Indian Railways who had the last laugh for the day.

They conquered, yet again! 🏆 Indian Railways beat Maharashtra to win their 4th title in a row at the 69th Senior National Men's Kabaddi Championship,” reads the tweet from the official Twitter account of Pro Kabaddi League. They posted this tweet to congratulate the Railways’ team for their fourth consecutive title triumph.

Railways went on to dominate the Maharashtrian team in all sections of the game. Pawan’s men gathered 18 points in raiding against the 12 of Maharashtra. On the other hand, they ended up with a difference of four points in the tackling department.

Maharashtra couldn’t all-out the Railways even for a single time. Whereas, they got all-out at one instance during the final encounter of the 2022 edition of the championship.

As the Men’s Senior National Kabaddi Championship 2022 has concluded so now, everyone is eagerly waiting for the auctions for the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League.
