Despite this, the other bowlers have managed to keep the team in the game. While the home side has set a target of 399 runs, anything can happen in the game apart from a draw. Meanwhile, after day three, India pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who took a six-for in the first innings, has backed the young pacer.

The former said that the team has a lot of confidence in the Bihar player. "That can happen to anyone (didn't have a good day). He has just started to play international cricket. He has started out on Test cricket. We have a lot of confidence in him. This is a long series. We have to rotate players. That is the mindset, I think, obviously, you have to learn by making mistakes. You get better by making mistakes," Bumrah said in the post-match press conference.
