India vs 'Bazball' has been an enthralling affair so far. The hosts were hammered in Hyderabad but bounced back in style to win the Vizag Test, promising blockbuster episodes in the coming weeks. Yashasvi Jaiswal with the bat and Jasprit Bumrah with the ball led India to an emphatic 106-run win to level the five-match series 1-1 on Day 4 (Monday) at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium.

The visitors were trailing by 332 runs with 9 wickets in hand when Zak Crawley and Rehan Ahmed came out to bat on Day 4. Axar Patel started the proceedings for India by knocking down England's night watchman. Ravichandran Ashwin dealt a double blow to the opposition by dismissing the dangerous Ollie Pope and Joe Root in quick succession. The former English skipper played a terrible shot to get out and gave Ashwin his 499th Test wicket.

Crawley played another beautiful innings and kept his team in the hunt. His 73 off 132 deliveries guided England well, but not enough support from the other end, otherwise it would have been a different story. Hero of the match Bumrah claimed his first wicket of the second innings by trapping Jonny Bairstow in front of the stumps.

A lazy running and sharp direct hit from Shreyas Iyer saw captain Ben Stokes leaving the crease without any heroics. Wicketkeeper Ben Foakes and spinner Tom Hartley spent some time in the middle to reduce the deficit but Bumrah got them both to wrap up the innings at 292-10 in 69.2 overs. The game was in balance with both teams having a chance to win. However, India came out on top as England did not succeed in their 'bazball' strategy.

It was the young player Jaiswal who set the tone for India's huge victory at the very beginning of the game. When no one else could score above 35, the 22-year-old stood tall and notched up a brilliant double hundred to help India post a highly competitive first-innings score (396). Crawley's 76 and Stokes' 47 were not enough for England to match India's lead.

Bumrah wreaked havoc with six wickets and his combined figures of 9/91 earned him the Player of the Match award. Not to forget, Shubman Gill's century in the second innings played a crucial part in the Men in Blue's victory.
