Saudi Arabian soccer team Al-Hilal made a record 300 million euro ($332 million) bid for Kylian Mbappe on Monday. Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are undoubtedly open to a sale at that amount. The deal contains the possibility of the striker earning €700 million (£604 million/$775 million) each year before possibly joining Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer.

The French superstar had informed PSG that he planned to see out his contract and leave for free once the season is concluded. According to reports of ESPN, Mbappe might go to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, he would potentially get a €100m signing-on fee. He would also get an €80m bonus this September should he opt to stay with PSG.

Al Hilal in contention to sign Kylian Mbappe

Al Hilal's offer would make Mbappe the most expensive player in history, surpassing the $262 million paid by PSG for Neymar's rights when the team purchased the Brazilian from Barcelona in 2017. The offer is Saudi Arabia's most ambitious yet, part of a deliberate recruitment campaign to attract the game's greatest stars to the kingdom.

PSG has been trying to find a method to get a price for Mbappe this summer, even considering letting him go on loan. As a consequence, it's hardly surprising that they accepted a world-record offer for the World Cup winner.

Following Ronaldo's December signing with Al Nassr, a significant number of players such as Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kanté, and Roberto Firmino have moved to Saudi Arabia's lucrative deals. Riyad Mahrez and Jordan Henderson, both Premier League players, have been linked with transfers.

It remains a mystery whether Mbappe will be willing to travel to Saudi Arabia, even if only for a season, and the transfer looks to be entirely dependent on the striker's approval. He has consistently said that he simply wishes to relocate to Real. He has not been included even in the pre-season tour and has been left out. It definitely suggests that the winger will leave the French club sooner or later.
