Lionel Messi’s dream run of form continued in his third match for Inter Miami also as he scored two goals and they defeated Orlando City 3-1 in the Round of 32 of the ongoing Leagues Cup. After this match, Messi has now scored five goals in three matches along with an assist. But, during that match, he got involved in a heated argument in the tunnel after the first half when both teams’ players were leaving the pitch.
A video went viral where the Argentine superstar was seen having a chat with Orlando City’s Cesar Araujo and it seemed to be a heated conversation that went to the tunnel. In that match, Orlando’s players were giving some rough treatment to Messi and the former Barca legend also exchanged heated words with Felipe Martins.
Here is the shared video:

“He's taken it to an entirely different level.” - Dan Courtemanche on Lionel Messi
Leonardo Campana came up and parted them away. The 2022 FIFA World Cup winner also pushed Araujo after a full-blooded challenge. Speaking of the match, Messi broke the deadlock in the seventh minute while Araujo scored the equaliser in the 17th minute for Orlando City. The first half ended 1-1 but in the second half, Josef Martinez scored the second goal for Inter Miami in the 51st minute from the spot. In the 72nd minute, Messi completed his brace and the match ended 3-1.
However, recently, in an exclusive chat with WION's Susan Tehrani, Dan Courtemanche, the Executive VP of Communications, MLS, shared the impact of Messi’s arrival in MLS. He said, “The great player in the world decided he wanted to come and play with Inter Miami in the MLS. That's clearly a seminal moment for the league and soccer in North America. Pele led the foundation when he came to America in 1975. Fast forward 2007, David Beckham joined MLS - a relatively new league then, and then Messi comes this year. He's taken it to an entirely different level. He's accelerated the growth of our league and this sport in North America like nothing we have ever seen before”.
