The tournament is one of the most competitive football events in the world because of the quality of talent at the display. Every team boast of fine strikers who will be responsible for scoring goals and help their team advance in the competition. Romelu Lukaku – Belgium

The striker was in stellar form in the 2020/21 season and scored 30 goals along with 10 assists in 44 games for Nerazzuri. He was one of the driving force behind Inter Milan’s Serie A win.

Robert Lewandowski – Poland

Robert Lewandowski comes into the Euro 2020 on back of a scintillating show in Bundesliga. The forward scored 41 goals in the 2020/21 season and broke the previous record of most goals in a season held by Gerd Muller (40 goals). Poland is grouped with Sweden, Spain and Slovakia and will need their talismanic striker to deliver on the international stage.

England have not won an international trophy post their 1996 World Cup win but they’ve produced a very strong squad for Euro 2020 and are one of the contenders for the title. They boast of some fine talents in their squad but Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane will be the focal point of their gameplay. The English played had an impressive season in the Premier League, scoring 23 goals and providing 14 assists. 

Cristiano Ronaldo – Portugal

Defending Champions Portugal have a lethal squad with players like Joao Felix, Bruno Fernandes and Andre Silva at their disposal. However, Fernando Santos’s side will once again look up to Cristiano Ronaldo as their main striker. The Juventus star scored a whopping 29 goals in Serie A last season and finished as the highest goal scorer in the competition. This could be the last Euro for Ronaldo before he bids adieu to international football thus he will be keen to deliver one memorable performance. 

Kylian Mbappe – France

Kylian Mbappe will be the centre of attention once the tournament kicks off. The Paris Saint Germain displayed outstanding skills for the club where he managed 42 goals and 11 assists in 47 games. The World Champions are placed in the group of death alongside Germany and Portugal and Kylian Mbappe has to play a big part if France has to qualify for the knockouts.
