It was stunning 24 hours in the transfer window in the Premier League on Friday. As the reports came out of Manchester City thinking of signing the superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Manchester United locked in a deal with the 36-year-old and announced it as well on Friday evening. Everything is still depending on subject to the agreement of personal terms, securing a visa and undergoing a medical but those are being told to be just the formalities.
The football fraternity is calling it a Homecoming for Ronaldo who spent his early years with the club before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009. He spent his last three years at Juventus playing in the Serie A and now has returned to the club where he gained all the fame thanks to his excellent football skills.

Meanwhile, there has been a curiosity among the fans about how much Ronaldo will earn during his stint with the Manchester United. According to Spotrac.com, the Portugal superstar will earn £510,000 per week or £26.52 million a year wearing the Red jersey for the United. No wonder all the eyes will be on Ronaldo when he takes the field for the club again after a gap of 12 years.
With a few formalities yet to complete, Ronaldo might not be available for United for their game against Wolves scheduled on Sunday (9 PM IST). However, he could be playing for them on September 11 in the game against New Castle. Manchester United are also set to play their first UEFA Champions League game against Young Boys on September 14.
