Gerard Pique, the Barcelona legend, has responded to his ex-partner Shakira's diss track aimed at him and his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. Shakira's collaboration with Argentine DJ Bizzarap, 'BZRP Music Sessions #53,' has broken records. It is the most-watched Latin song on YouTube and has over 400 million Spotify streams.

Following the former couple's split last June amid allegations of infidelity on his part, the diss track took several jabs at Pique. The former Barcelona defender has now responded to the song by implying that it may have a psychological impact on its target.

"This topic of the Diss Tracks, it's fine, it's a fashion, but then they don't think about the consequences it can have on a mental level for the person you throw it to... It looks good for the singer because they say 'Oh, you're the f*cking queen!" he said.

In the song, Shakira specifically targeted Pique's new lover Clara Chia. She mentioned their new relationship by saying he traded: "A Ferrari for a Twingo." and "a Rolex for a Casio."

The Barcelona legend and the Colombian pop star were married for 11 years. Milan, 10, and Sasha, 9, are their children. Both parties have been at odds during the breakup.

In the meantime, Gerard Pique ended his illustrious career last November, having become a Barcelona legend. He appeared in 616 games for the Blaugrana, winning the UEFA Champions League four times and La Liga eight times.

Throughout his career, the Spaniard was known for wearing long sleeves, even in hot weather. However, the former defender has revealed a possible explanation. He claims that Guardiola, his former Barcelona manager, once fined him for wearing short sleeves. He claimed that the current Manchester City manager punished him because he jeopardised his health.

"Once it was very cold in Barcelona, but I was wearing short sleeves. A photo of me in the snow and me in short sleeves appeared. Pep saw it and scolded me, fined me, didn't call me for the game and made me pay for a meal for the team, as I was putting my health at risk," he said,
