Brazil started the match with more intensity than South Korea. In the seventh minute, Brazil took the lead when Vinicius Jr. scored the goal. It was a complete team goal where Thiago Silva delivered the final assist. Then, in the 36th minute, Lucas Paqueta scored the fourth goal while Vinicius Jr. assisted him. Thus, the first half ended 4-0.

In the second half, the Selecao looked to extend their lead but they failed to convert some chances. Then, South Korea’s Paik Seung-ho scored a stunner from outside of the box and made it 4-1. It was a thunderous strike from Paik as Alisson had no answer to it. However, the game ended 4-1 in favor of Brazil and they qualified for the quarter-finals.
