So, both teams were looking to continue their winning momentum in the World Cup. However, Brazil dealt a major blow as Neymar got ruled out of the clash. His ankle injury ruled him out from this clash. So, Brazil fans were hoping for a good show from the team despite missing their star man from the action.

But, Elvedi cleared the chance again despite the Brazilian forward’s full stretch at the front post.

In the second half of the match, Switzerland began the game with some intensity. In the 53rd minute, Mohameth Sow came up with a chance but Alex Sandro blocked his effort.

Then, Richarlison missed another chance for Brazil in the 57th minute as his effort flew wide off the target. But in the 66th minute, Vinicius Jr. managed to put the ball into the net. But, VAR ruled out that goal as offside. Replays pointed out as Richarlison was in an offside positing during that build-up. In the 83rd minute, Caemiro puts the Selecao 1-0 up through an improvised finish. Rodrygo came up with the assist as Brazil took the lead. In the 90+3' minute, Vinicius had a chance to double the lead. But, Manuel Akanji came up with a huge block to deny him. Finally, the match ended 1-0 in favor of the Selecaos and they qualified for the next round convincingly.
