Belgium and Portugal will cross swords in a high profile Round of 16 match of Euro 2020. Belgium stormed into the knockouts with three wins in the group stage. It was only the third team alongside Italy and Netherlands who had a 100% win record in the group stage.

Portugal finished third in Group F to progress to the Round of 16. Both teams have been fierce competitors. Portugal have managed to claim six wins against Belgium while the World No 1 side have five wins to their name. Portugal will be hoping that Nuno Mendes pass his fitness test and is available for this crucial game. His inclusion will be a massive boost for the defending champions. Belgium have justified their favourites tag and look in red hot form. Portugal in contrast has not set the stage on fire yet but can’t be counted out of the contest. Portugal need to rectify the flaws in their defence if they are to get past a strong Belgium.

Croatia has not been at their best in the Euro 2020 and managed just one point from their first two games before stunning Scotland in their last group game. They will have to pull off a similar performance if they are to get past Spain, who themselves have been pretty ordinary. Spain drew their first two games before crushing Slovakia 5-0 in their final game. Spain has a great blend of youth and experience and their performance against Slovakia was an apt display of what they are capable of. Croatia, on the other hand, have secured good results against Spain and will be hopeful of another decent outing. However, with plenty of experience at disposal, Spain will be very confident going into the match.
