Jordan Henderson is all set to make his first appearance for the country or club post undergoing groin surgery in February. The English midfielder trained with the England squad ahead of the Euro 2020 warm up fixture against Romania and is likely to take field for ‘The Three Lions’. Jordan was set to feature in England’s first warm-up against Austria, which England won 1-0, but pulled out at the last moment after complaining of discomfort on the morning of the match.
Also, England skipper Harry Kane and Man of the Match against Austria, Bukayo Saka did not train with the group. The Football Association later clarified that both are following personal training programmes indoors to manage their workload.
Harry Maguire also skipped the training session on Saturday. The Manchester United captain joined the England squad on Thursday and is recovering from an ankle injury he picked up last month. England will kick off their Euro 2020 campaign against Croatia in Group D match on June 13.
