England will take on Denmark in the second semi-final of the Euro 2020. The winner of this match will cross swords with Italy, who defeated Spain, in penalty shootouts to book their berth in the final. Both England and Denmark have reached thus far after a long gap. While England will play their first semi-final after 1996, this is Denmark’s debut semi-final appearance. England had a slow start to the tournament but gained momentum during the business end of the tournament.

They defeated Germany 2-0 in their final Round of 16 match before thrashing Ukraine 4-0 in the quarter-final. Meanwhile, Denmark has recovered well after a setback in the first game. Post their defeats to Finland and Belgium, they have won against Russia, Wales and the Czech Republic to reach the semi-final.

England have the momentum on their side and will be playing at their home venue. This will be a definite advantage but one cannot write off Denmark. However, England have displayed a fantastic defense with no goals conceded. They also seem to have a better attack. They’ll be very confident going into the match.
