Denmark’s Andreas Christensen believes his side’s Premier League players have enough quality to contain the star England striker Harry Kane when the two teams cross swords at the Wembley Stadium in the semi-final of the Euro 2020. The 25-year-old defender Andreas will be hoping to utilize his experience of playing against Kane while at his club side Chelsea. Also, the team will be looking to get insights from midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, who is a teammate of Kane at Tottenham.

“We know his qualities, and everyone has an idea of what we can do to stop him,” Christensen told a news conference.

“Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg also knows him, and it may be that he can share some things. All football players have their habits, and we must take advantage of them.”

Kane has been in fine form in the Euro 2020. He scored a goal against Germany in the Round of 16 and then dodged a brace against Ukraine in the quarter-finals. Andreas Christensen was all praises for the star striker and admitted that he presents a tough physical challenge for the Danes.

“He is good with his feet and he is one of the best finishers in football,” Christensen said.

“I react a lot on instinct. He is very big, so it is hard to get into his body, but he also has great qualities with his feet, so you should not get too close either.”

Christensen further said his team is not intimidated by the star-studded lineup of England and added that his side is good enough to compete against any opposition.

“I feel like we have the qualities to play against everyone. As a team, I would not say they are that much better,” Christensen said.
