Ahead of Juventus’ Serie A game against Empoli in Turin, speculations of Cristiano Ronaldo parting ways with the club are doing rounds. Last week returning coach Massimiliano Allegri had said that Ronaldo is not going anywhere and has promised to stay and lead their campaign in Serie A. However, several media reports have claimed that Ronaldo have informed the club that he wants to leave before the summer transfer window of August 31.

As per reports, Manchester City are the front runners to rope in Ronaldo. Even though the club has not received any bids yet, Pep Guardiola’s side can come up with one, stated the report.

It was also reported that Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, met Juventus officials earlier this week to engineer a transfer. However, the club reportedly want a transfer fee of around 25 million euros. Further, the report states that Ronaldo has even cleared the dressing room locker and does not want to feature in the match against Empoli.

Ronaldo joined Juventus in 2018 from Real Madrid. He was expected to lead the club to the Champions League title but instead, the club failed to move past the quarter-final since he joined.

Ronaldo's teammates also don’t have a clue on Ronaldo's future with the club.

"He has not told me anything about his future and we don't know if he will stay, but I hope he will stay for a long time," said 19-year-old Kaio Jorge, who just joined from Brazilian club Santos.

"Cristiano Ronaldo has always been a source of inspiration for me. I will be by his side every day to learn as much as possible from him."
