Cristiano Ronaldo scores as Al Nassr trounce Al Raed 3-1 in Saudi Pro League

Cristiano Ronaldo showed who is boss as he scored a crucial goal for his side in a crucial encounter in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been in fine form in the Saudi Pro League (SPL)  as he scored in Al Nassr's 3-1 win over Al Raed on Saturday at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Buraydah. Al Nassr had great momentum coming into this fixture as they had won their last four matches. Al Raead seemed to be all over Al Nassr in the initial stages of the game as they were controlling play.

It was a battle of defence vs. Long balls between Al Raed and Al Nassr but Al Raed was getting the better of Al Nassr. After much duelling and putting up a great fight, Sadio Mane made a chance count and got his side on the scoresheet. But the joy was short-lived as a foul from Bander Whaeshi resulted in Al Raed coming down to 10 men before the 45-minute mark.

Anderson Talisca made a big difference as a substitute for Al Nassr

In the second half of the game, Al Nassr struck back as they had a great advantage because they had more numbers on their side. Anderson Talisca made an immediate difference when he came into the lineup as a substitute. He scored a scorcher of a goal just four minutes after the half-time break.

He continued to make a great contribution and pull the right strings and 30 after thirty minutes he set up and gave an assist to  Ronaldo in the box, who nutmegged his marker and rattled the net with his hit. When it comes to the points table. Al Nassr ended up vaulting to fifth position. Al Raeed tanked down all the way to 15th.

The Man from Portugal will now start his AFC Champions League 2023-24 campaign, with the team going up against the Iranian side, Persepolis on September 19. Ronaldo has done beautifully for his side so far and he has made a great mark and turned fortunes for his side, Al Nassr will want to keep doing well and go all the way. If possible they will want to try and win the championship.
