It's just around two weeks before Europe's biggest football carnival UEFA Euro 2020 gets underway. The preparations are in full swing and the fans are eagerly waiting to see their superstars in action. While most of the teams have announced their squads, several big names have surprisingly been left out. While some will miss the tournament due to an injury, others have been left out because the manager doesn't fancy them.

Here's the best XI of the players who won't be part of the UEFA Euro 2020.

Goalkeeper 

Jan Oblak

Jan Oblak is among the best goalkeepers going around but he won't be featuring in the Euro 2020 as his team Slovenia has failed to qualify.

Right wing-back

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

England have the likes of Kyle Walker, Reece James, Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold in the right-back pecking order thus Aaron Wan-Bissaka, unfortunately, has to miss out on the Euro 2020.

Centre-back

Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos has struggled with injuries this season thus Spain's head coach Luis Enrique decided to go into Euro 2020 without their skipper.

Virgil van Dijk

Virgil van Dijk picked up an injury in October last year and hasn't played a game since then. He decided to opt-out of the tournament to continue his rehabilitation

Jerome Boateng

German coach Joachim Low wanted to introduce new generation players in 2019 and left out Boateng, Thomas Muller and Mats Hummels from the squad. While Muller and Hummels have forced their way back into the team, Joachim Low has not considered Jerome Boateng

Ferland Mendy

Ferland Mendy is also struggling with injuries. Consequently, he has been left out of the French squad.

Centre midfield

Miralem Pjanic

Miralem Pjanic didn't have a great season with Barcelona thus there were high chances that he wouldn't be included in the Euro 2020 squad. Meanwhile, his side Bosnia and Herzegovina didn’t qualify anyway.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic

The midfielder won't be playing the Euro 2020 after Serbia was beaten by Scotland in the play-offs.

Attacking midfield

Spain doesn't have any Real Madrid player in their squad but Isco never really stood a chance after a tough season for him personally.

Striker

Erling Haaland 

Erling Haaland won't be featuring in the league after Norway was knocked out by Serbia in the playoffs.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The 39-year-old Sweden player suffered a knee injury which ruled him out of Euro 2020.
