As per Italian Media, the cost of the loan deal is one million euros, with an option to make the move permanent after one year at an estimated 4.5 million euros. Florenzi was part of the Italy squad that won the Euro 2020. The star fullback has played 45 matches for Italy, hitting the net on two occasions.

The Italian is on his third straight loan after spending his last term at Paris Saint-Germain and half of the previous campaign at Valencia.

Alessandro came through the youth ranks of AS Roma, where he made his Serie A debut in May 2011. In the 2011-12 season, he played for Crotone and scored eleven goals in 37 appearances before returning to Roma. Over the next eight seasons in the capital, he played 278 matches, scoring 28 goals.

He moved to Valencia in January 2019 and then spent the 2020/21 campaign at PSG, where he scored two goals in 36 appearances and won the French Cup and French Super Cup.

“I was above all pushed by the desire Milan had to sign me. They wanted me more than anyone, including the teams from abroad, so I wanted to go into this with great hunger and determination. I can’t wait to get on the pitch,” Florenzi told Milan TV.

AC Milan is back in the Champions League for the first time after being knocked out by Atletico Madrid in 2014.
