A similar has happened very recently when Pakistani political commentator Zaid Zaman Hamid ended up doing a blunder in his tweet regarding star Pakistani javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem. He actually wanted to demean India’s Olympic Champion Neeraj Chopra but he did a huge mistake by mentioning the name of former Indian cricketer Ashish Nehra as the Javelin thrower instead of Neeraj Chopra.

Former Indian opener and currently commentator Virender Sehwag went on to troll Zaid Hamid for his blunder. Later on, Hamid deleted the tweet because of the backlash he received on Twitter. But till then, the users had already taken screenshots of Hamid’s tweet.

“And what makes this victory even sweeter is the fact that this Pakistani athlete has destroyed Indian javelin throw hero Ashish Nehra…. In the last competition, Ashish had defeated Arshad Nadeem,” read the tweet of Zaid Hamid with a mistake of name two times in the tweet.

Responding to the screenshot of this tweet, Sehwag came up with a hilarious and sarcastic reply.

“Chicha, Ashish Nehra is right now preparing for UK Prime Minister Elections. So Chill,” wrote Sehwag.

Here's Sehwag's tweet on Zaid Hamid:

Notably, it was the 10th day of the Commonwealth Games, when Khanewal-based Punjabi lad scripted history for Pakistan as he won the gold in the men’s javelin finals at the CWG 2022. He also made the game's record with his historic throw of 91.18m. The Olympic champion and Panipat-pride of India, Neeraj Chopra took no time to congratulate his colleague from Pakistan for this historic win in the Commonwealth Games and the new games record as well.

“Congratulations Arshad Bhai for the gold medal and crossing 90m with a new games record. Aage ke competitions ke liye all the best” read the comment of Neeraj on the Instagram post of Nadeem.
