Speaking from the point of view of India, then the nation has emerged as one of the strongest teams in the Commonwealth Games over the last couple of decades. It will also be an honor for India as the women’s cricket team of the country is participating for the first time in CWG. It is due to the fact that the game has returned to this sports festival after a long wait of 24 years since the last time it was played in 1998.

Apart from all this, one of the renowned sports faces of India, Virat Kohli has wished good luck to the Indian women’s cricket team and all athletes who are participating in the Birmingham Games.
