The Indian contingent had some good outings on day 7 of the CWG 2022 in Birmingham. Finally, India has done with their campaign in weightlifting with 10 medals in Birmingham, the highest ever medal count in CWG. Apart from this, the hockey team has also reached the semi-finals with an emphatic win against Wales with a score line of 4-1.

Other Indian athletes have also advanced after winning in their respective events and categories. The 8th day of the Birmingham Games might be the day of medals for the Indian contingent as many athletes will participate in the deciders of their event and categories. Indian wrestlers will also begin their campaign in the 22nd edition of the Games.
