Schedule of day 10, 7th August for Indian Contingent in CWG 2022

Indian athletes have brought a bit more glory to the country as race walker Priyanka Goswami won the silver medal in the race-walking competition at the CWG 2022 in Birmingham. Other than her, Avinash Mukund also went on to bag a silver for the Indian contingent on the ninth day of the Birmingham Games 2022.

Later on, the Indian women’s cricket team created history after reaching the finals of women’s cricket for the first time in the CWG.  Notably, it is also the first time for women’s cricket that it is being played in the Commonwealth Games. Women’s cricket led by senior all-rounder Harmanpreet Kaur won the semi-final against England by a very close margin of four runs.

Now, they will lock horns either with Australia or New Zealand for the first-ever gold medal of women’s cricket in CWG.
