Boundaries created by humans are not that hard that can let them stop loving each other. Pakistan’s recent golden boy Arshad Nadeem and India’s Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra are the perfect personified examples of this. They both have met each other several times on the field of Javelin's throw. Apart from this, they share a fruitful bond with each other outside the field.

So, it was the 10th day of the Commonwealth Games, when Khanewal-based Punjabi lad scripted history for Pakistan as he won the gold in the men’s javelin finals at the CWG 2022. He also made the game's record with his historic throw of 91.18m. The Olympic champion and Panipat-pride of India, Neeraj Chopra took no time to congratulate his colleague from Pakistan for this historic win in the Commonwealth Games and the new games record as well.

Industrialist Anand Mahindra appreciated both Neeraj Chopra and Arshad Nadeem

Neeraj’s Gesture immediately went viral on social media, it also drew praises across both borders. Renowned Indian industrialist Anand Mahindra also praised both athletes and congratulated them for sharing such a beautiful bond.

“This is how the world should be A Gold medal to both of them for demonstrating the difference between competitiveness and enmity. #NeerajChopra #ArshadNadeem,” Mahindra tweeted.

All thanks to the efforts from Nadeem that Pakistan won their first-ever gold medal in the men’s javelin at the Commonwealth Games. Nadeem’s throw is also historic in such a way that he defeated the World Champion Anderson Peters of Grenada, who finished second with a throw of 88.64m and had to adjust a silver.

Speaking of Neeraj, then he holds the record for the best throw at the national level for India in the men’s javelin. He achieved his best throw of 89.94m at the Stockholm Diamond League earlier at the beginning of this year.

Neeraj had to withdraw his name from the Commonwealth Games 2022 as he sustained an injury just before the commencement of the games.
